Research & Development are two words you seldom hear anymore. When the words were part of our language, we were the world's leader in economic development. To employer's today, cutting expenses at any cost is the flavor of the moment. We will never improve our status in life until we change our method of operation. Bell Labs (called Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs now ?)is still with us, but it's been forever between products. The last time we concentrated on R & D was when Kennedy said we would be on the moon in TEN years!
Just so you know, I voted for Reagan's first term, Kennedy. and Clinton. Reagan did not get my vote for a second term because he forgot how to act the part and thought he was actually President instead of an actor playing the part. I did not vote for either Bush!
