For multiple generations we lead the world in Research and Development which resulted in our outstanding economic leadership. Today we are not even in the top 10 and it shows. With few exceptions, we were responsible for every major breakthrough and the development of the resulting possibilities. Today we are not even close to the feeding frenzy let alone offer anything of value.
When we begin treating R & D with respect, we may once again lead the world economically. Until then we can only hope against hope that we will have a sound future!
