One Nation?

We are not "as the song says" one nation under God.  We are now and have always been a nation divided by our differences. Some are doggedly Republican, others march only when the Democratic drummer plays, and still others refuse to follow blindly behind the 'players" from either party  As a result we need those who are willing to negotiate (that's Compromise for you morons).  Until someone steps up to the plate, we can expect nothing but politics as usual. It should come as "no" surprise that nothing will happen unless we negotiate. After 200+ years, you'd think we'd have learned what it takes to move forward. I don't expect you to always agree, but I demand that you get off of your hands and put something workable in the hopper!
