As I have said numerous times, I am not a Democrat nor a Republican. I am an independent. That means I vote the issue, not the man or woman. It's never easy. I look first, last, and always at why the man or woman is running for office, or who is for or against the bill in question. It is always going to benefit them, but the question is, will it also benefit me?? It may depend on who is in the majority, or who is Democrat or Republican. It could be a local, state, or even a federal issue. After that, it's a question of what will benefit me and those who care about me the most.
It may sound like I'm out for me and guess what, I am. Those who make the laws and, for the most part, in force those laws, are looking out for themselves. Why wouldn't that benefit me as well? If you enter into every event thinking of yourself and those who support you, who's willing to say that isn't politically correct?
