Scott Brown Won

Scott Brown won the election in Massachusetts because more people voted for him than voted for Martha Coakley period. I have no idea what Scott Brown's agenda will be other than the fact that it will benefit Scott Brown first, last, and always. I applaud the people of Massachusetts for expressing themselves by voting!

Nothing would please me more than to see those same people, and millions more, start saving their money instead of spending it.  We are an economy built on spending so if you really want to send a message then there is no better way to be heard.

It's my opinion that if governments are not to big to fail, then Wall Street is not to big to fail.  If we let them fail, they won't let it happen a second time.  GM, Chrysler or any other maker of automobiles that was bankrupt should have failed without tax payer money as well.  It was going to be very difficult either way.  In my opinion it would have been far less difficult to let them fail.  If this is a free market, then let's have a free market!  If not, then we need effective regulation no matter what the lobbyists may say.

Keep one thing in mind, 5% of the economy of the United States and the world control 95% of the wealth.  It is true now and it has always been true except where working people save part of what they earn. Some of you give to your church, aren't you worth at least an equal amount?  Few will pay you to save but that doesn't mean don't save.

When we stop the habit some call "keeping up with the Jones" we may just begin buying only those things we actually need.  What a change!
