Organizations lead by the likes of Pat Robertson,Gary Bauer, Donald Wildmon, Paul Cameron, James Dobson, Phyllis Schlafly, and Jerry Falwell, violate this statute daily and should have their tax exempt status revoked. Why doesn't the IRS take action???
A Place for Political Commentary on local and national issues. The point of view is mine because today neither major political party has America’s best interest at heart. Politicians on both sides of the Isle are corrupt, but even worse, most of them are morally bankrupt. You're welcome to comment.... On the whole, I prefer not to be lectured on patriotism by those who keep offshore mail drops in order to avoid paying their taxes.

Tax Information for Charitable and Religious Organizations
Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. Contributions to political campaign funds or public statements of position (verbal or written) made on behalf of the organization in favor of or in opposition to any candidate for public office clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign activity. Violation of this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise tax.
