IRAN - America in ten years if it's left in the hands of the "theocratic right."(Republican Right)

Hardline Mayor Wins Iran's Presidential Race.

The victory gives conservatives control of Iran's two highest elected offices — the presidency and parliament — and of greater concequence, gives a freer hand to the non-elected theocracy, which holds the final word on all important policies.

Clerics led by supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei have true power in Iran, able to overrule elected officials. But reformers, who lost parliament in elections last year, had been hoping to retain some hand in government to preserve the greater social freedoms they've been able to win, such as looser dress codes, more mixing between the sexes and openings to the West.

Theocracy is derived from the two Greek words Qeo/j(Theos) meaning "God" and kra/tein (cratein) meaning "to rule." Theocracy is the civil rule of God, or the belief in government by divine guidance.

Turn your back and Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, James Dobson, Tony Perkins, Richard Land, and Chuck Colson, to name just a few will soon rule America in a fashion not to dissimilar to the rule of law in IRAN. Remember Salem, Massachusetts!

Think I'm wrong!

The powerful Majority Leader of the United States House of Representatives, Tom DeLay (R-TX) embodies government by divine guidance:

"He [God] is using me, all the time, everywhere, to stand up for a biblical worldview in everything that I do and everywhere I am. He is training me".

Tom DeLay represents an ultraconservative religious movement seeking to impose a narrow theological agenda on secular society called the "theocratic right."
